We are immensely proud that this attitude of our team combined with our dedicated efforts to adopt the best in training and technology has helped us deliver some outstanding work across the country. It’s been part of our company ethos to invest in supporting our team to build their skill sets and achieve regular training in their respective fields, and of course in the ever pertinent area of Health and Safety.
The SSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme) certification that most of our screed operatives hold has been a major step in achieving our goal of zero accidents.
As our MD, Spencer Warner testifies, Health and Safety for us is not all about compliance to regulations. “My own back tells me that risking your health for a lack of knowledge is a fool’s game. The protection of our staff is paramount to the operation of our company. I am pleased to see the success and acceptance of this important initiative.”
All our site managers are SMSTS (Site Manger Safety Training Scheme) qualified, with certification and training in the legislations and Code of Practice for Construction Design and Management Regulations. Our screed operatives are now happy to flaunt their CSCS cards (Construction Skills Certificate Scheme) which certify them as trained and qualified for working on construction sites. We have a comprehensive Safe System of Work document to ensure all our operatives take the necessary precautions and follow safe procedures while carrying out their work.
As an ISO:9001 company, quality has always been our priority. To ensure all round quality we make sure our training is not limited to the on-site team alone, but extends to our office staff who works behind the scenes. Our team’s consistent effort to establish and follow a defined management process and document management system has been valuable in achieving the Achilles Building Confidence Accreditation.
