Kier converts from Anhydrite to FlexiDry Fast Drying Screeds at Long Benton Campus, Newcastle

November 2009

Main Contractor Kier has decided to change the specification after the first pour of Free Flowing Anhydrite screed to the FlexiDry Fast Drying Screed System and have chosen F2 (14 day dry) and F3 (21 day dry) to suit the project timelines.
The reasons were concerns as to how long the screed would take to dry before final floor finishes could be installed, particularly heading into the winter months. The FlexiDry Floor Screed is being installed over underfloor heating to approximately a 5000sm area. FlexiDry provided the perfect solution and gave control back to the Contractor.
CSC Screeding Ltd are the screeding installers, working in collaboration with the UFH contractors and progress is reported as well underway.
We are all delighted that Kier have adopted FlexiDry for this project and can’t wait for the end client feedback.
