CSC makes a safe start at Waverley school

October 2013

As Waverley School, Birmingham prepares for their new school buildings, our screeding team at the site are leaving no stones unturned when it comes to ensuring site safety. From timber ramps to avoid tripping hazards to all the crucial safety aspects, every little detail has been taken care of, as CSC starts the pre-screeding operations for the new school blocks.
We are happy that our clients, Lend Lease have found our precautions for site safety a worthy example for future projects. A safe working environment has always been part of the work ethos for CSC, and we make sure every little safety hazard is identified, and all the necessary precautions and safe working practices are systematically documented in our comprehensive Safe System of Work document.
Screeding
At CSC, we’ve got all the little details covered!
Level surveys have already been carried out by CSC at the site to establish the accuracy of material quantities. The screeding will be carried out for an area of 850 sq.m, at a thickness of 75mm. Fast drying floor screed FlexiDry F3, with a drying time of 21 days will be used for the project.
The new school blocks are being constructed as part of Birmingham’s Building Schools for the Future programme, and it will be the first all through school in the city, taking in students from the age of 4-19.
The screeding project is being carried out for Warmafloor on behalf of principal contractors Lend Lease.
