CSC completes the Premier Inn, Dovecoat Road project with fast drying floor screed FlexiDry

Delivering value for money, CSC completed the screeding for nearly 700 sq.m of the new Premier Inn, Dovecote Road, with fast drying floor screed FlexiDry F3. The F3 formulation of FlexiDry proved to be the perfect choice for the project, providing a quick drying, high quality screed that fitted perfectly with the project timeline.
The project was first of the three repeat jobs that were awarded to CSC, and was carried out on behalf of RG Carter, for clients WhitBread. FlexiDry F3 which comes with a drying time of 21 days was installed over polythene DPM and 75mm insulation board, and 25mm perimeter upstand was used on the external walls to prevent cold bridging.
FlexiDry fast drying floor screed is one of the popular brands used by CSC owing to the quality, reliability and value for money that the screed yields. The screed also provides the additional advantage of increasing the energy efficiency for underfloor heating systems by acting as an efficient heat conductor and reducing the consumption of energy at the source.
The Premier Inn project was part of Whitbread’s expansion programme, which aims at adding at least 4000 rooms to their popular hotel chain across the UK. The popular hotel chain is one of UK’ largest and fastest growing hotel brands, and was voted as the ‘Hotel Chain of the Year’ at the British Travel Awards.
