Resin Flooring is a specialist, decorative floor finish applied to a concrete or screed substrate. Resin flooring systems have outstanding wearing properties with high chemical resistance. Resin flooring is ideally suited to aggressive areas where a seamless, joint free finish is required and where maximum cleanliness is essential. There are a range of colours for which we invite you to contact our office for more information or become a member to share our knowledge centre.
Careful preparation has to be made and the substrate has to be of a suitable strength. Contaminations such as polish, wax, grease, etc should be removed. Dust and loose/friable surfaces need to be fully removed to ensure a good bond. Ensure the surface is flat as high spots will be subject to increased wear and these should be removed prior to resin applications. Ideally a substrate should be a flat, level and lightly textured surface and of sound integrity.
Resin applications should be installed in temperatures depending on product of more than 5° and below 90% RH (relative Humidity). Substrates need to have an RH of less than 75% or a Surface damp Proof Membrane would need to be installed. Care should be taken to protect the area during application and curing time to ensure that the finish does not get damaged from airbourne debris.
